Notes | This drive has slow performance because it does not support continuous write commands. Retrospect has to sync the cache after each write command. Required files on Macintosh OS 9.2.1 (minimum): -Retrospect 5.0 -Retrospect SDAP Support extension version 1.2 -Toast CD Reader 5.0.2 OR There are no required files for Mac OS X with version 5.0 Retrospect does not support the use of CD-RW media with this drive. The Mac OS 9 Finder may not properly recognize and mount Retrospect DVD discs. In these cases, a dialog box will be displayed with two options, Eject and Initialize. Always choose Eject. Initializing Retrospect DVD discs will cause all data on that disc to be erased. To prevent this dialog box from being displayed when using Retrospect, only insert Retrospect DVD discs when Retrospect ask for them during a backup operation. To prevent this dialog from being displayed when Retrospect quits, set the "Media Handling > Eject media " option in the Retrospect preferences. This issue prevents unattended backups from executing when Retrospect needs to be auto-launched. If a script is scheduled to backup to a DVD Backup Set, insert the media after opening the Storage Devices windows in the Configure tab. |
