Notes | Final shipping versions hang on USB/USB-2 on Macintosh systems. Mac users should use the FireWire interface. | To avoid blue-screen crash in Windows Me which can occur when the drive is plugged in (regardless of whether or not Retrospect is launched), the "isdinme.exe" patch which should be included with the drive by Sony must be applied. In order for the device to be properly recognized in Windows Me, users may require the "Windows ME Universal Plug and Play Update" available via Windows Update. Although the drive works through USB 1.1, it is suggested that users attach the drive through USB 2.0 or IEEE1394 (FireWire) due to performance increases. |
