In most cases, you can fix this problem by making a small edit to the retro.ini file.
Go to Macintosh Hard Disk > Library Folder > Application Support folder > Retrospect Folder.
Open the retro.ini file using TextEdit.
Add the following:
[Devices] ShowRemovables=0
Save the file and restart the Retrospect engine using the Retrospect System Preferences pane.
