Updating your Retrospect Disaster Recovery images

When a new version of Retrospect is released, it often includes support for the latest version of Windows ADK (Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit). Since this is the version of Windows ADK Retrospect has been tested with, it is recommended that you update your installed ADK software to the latest supported version and create new Disaster Recovery images.

  1. Uninstall your currently installed version of Windows ADK. You can do this via a standard uninstall process from your "Control Panel" > "Programs and Features" window.

  2. Visit www.retrospect.com/getadk to download the latest version of Windows ADK officially supported by Retrospect.

  3. Once the installation is completed, reboot the machine.

  4. Launch Retrospect and step through the DR image creation wizard, via "Backup" > "Disaster Recovery" from the left hand sidebar.
