On-Demand Webinar: Manage Backups from Anywhere with Retrospect with Q&A

Thanks to the 68 people who attended our webinar last week! We’re excited about the new features of Retrospect Management Console and how the service enables monitoring and managing backups from anywhere.

There were a bunch of questions that we didn’t have time for. Robin Mayoff, Director of Technical Support is going to reply to a number of them below.
Can I create a local NAS destination using the new Management Console?
Robin: Absolutely, that is one of the features we just released. Go to "Scripts" and create a new script. Then under "Destinations", scroll down to "Other destinations". See the screenshot below. You can provide the NAS path and credentials, and Retrospect will automatically create a backup set on it to start using.
Is the new "Scripts" view the same as the previous "Shared Scripts"?
Robin: This is a great question. No, the new "Scripts" view is strictly scripts that are on the engine you have selected. "Shared Scripts" is a different feature where you can deploy a script template to a set of engines simultaneously.
Is there a way to sort the Past Activities list by date?
Robin: Thanks for the feedback. Sorting by date for Past Activities is now live.
