Notes | E35r firmware for the VXA AutoPak 1x10 has a problem which causes the device to fail in Retrospect. In order to work around this problem, users need to use Retrospect 5.0 and Retrospect Driver Update 3.3.104 or later. It is recommended that users experiencing frequent hangs with VXA drives update drive firmware to V11100 or later for VXA-1 drives or V12101 or later for VXA-2 drives. These firmware releases contain drive updates which may solve hang issues. Users with Retrospect 6.0 for Macintosh should use Retrospect Driver Update 5.2.101 or later. This update contains a fix which prevents hangs due to improper data transfer size. For information on updating drives, contact Exabyte (www.exabyte.com/support). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Currently, Retrospect cannot detect VXA cleaning cartridges during the VXA cleaning process. As a result, automated cleaning functions may not work properly. Dantz and Exabyte are working on a solution which may be available in a future software or firmware update. Please check back in the future for further details. |
