Notes | It is recommended that users experiencing frequent hangs with VXA drives update drive firmware to V11100 or later for VXA-1 drives or V12101 or later for VXA-2 drives. These firmware releases contain drive updates which may solve hang issues. Users with Retrospect 6.0 for Macintosh should use Retrospect Driver Update 5.2.101 or later. This update contains a fix which prevents hangs due to improper data transfer size. For information on updating drives, contact Exabyte (www.exabyte.com/support). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Currently, Retrospect cannot detect VXA cleaning cartridges during the VXA cleaning process. As a result, automated cleaning functions may not work properly. Dantz and Exabyte are working on a solution which may be available in a future software or firmware update. Please check back in the future for further details. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Unload any tape cartridge in the drive when you power on the loader or when you change its magazines. This allows the loader to overcome a firmware limitation and properly report the slot positions of tapes to Retrospect. If this isnÕt done, Retrospect will display all the slots but all the slots will appear empty except for Slot 1. |
