If you are logging into the Retrospect Virtual Host Server and get the error “The backup client is of wrong type” after attempting a login, please do the following:
Log into the Retrospect Virtual Management Console (127.0.0.1).
Go to "Users, Groups and Policies".
Click on the user you are attempting to login to the Retrospect Virtual Host Server with.
At the top of the new page, click on "Backup Client Settings".
Change the "Backup Client" type to "Retrospect Virtual Host Server User", then assign add-on modules as needed.
After you have assigned your add-on modules, hit the green save icon at the bottom right.
Quit out of the Retrospect Virtual Host Server, relaunch it, then log in again with the user you just modified.
