On the machine where Retrospect Virtual Management Console is installed, go to
and check if Retrospect Virtual Management Console is started. If not, start it, and try connecting to the Retrospect Virtual Management Console again.services.msc
If the Retrospect Virtual Management Console is started, right click on it and choose Stop.
Go to C:\Program Files\RetrospectVMC\conf and make a copy of server.xml as a backup.
Edit server.xml and locate the two lines with the parameter "address=" (without quotations).
This will have the currently configured listening IP address. Change both to address="0.0.0.0".
Save the xml file and start the Retrospect Virtual Management Console service back up.
Wait about 5 minutes then try connecting to the Retrospect Virtual Management Console through the loopback address (127.0.0.1).
