プライベートなクラウド・ストレージは、拡張可能で管理が簡単、複数による利用が可能、かつ課金可能なストレージサービスです。これにより、パートナー企業が顧客に対して、クリック数回でデータを保護できる安全かつ遠隔のストレージ場所を提供できるようにします。どんな保護戦略にとっても遠隔ストレージは不可欠な要素ですが、プライベートなクラウド・ストレージなら顧客はデータが信頼できる人の手で守られていると分かります。Windows 用 Retrospect 11とMac 用 Retrospect 13は、無料オープンソースのプライベート・クラウド・ストレージのパッケージBasho Riak S2で認証されています。

NOTE: Riak S2 is no longer supported by Basho. We recommend using Minio or Zenko for on-premise cloud storage.

Basho Riak S2

Riak S2（Riak CS）は、Bashoが配布するデータベースRiak上で構築された使いやすいオブジェクト型ストレージソフトウェアです。Riak S2は、あらゆる規模のシンプルで利用可能な配布型クラウド・ストレージを提供できるよう設計されており、クラウド・アーキテクチャ―公開・非公開を問わず―を構築したり、重要アプリケーションやサービス用のストレージ・インフラとして使用できます。Riak CSのAPIはAmazon S3と互換性があり、請求や測定を含む利用者ごとの利用例報告をサポートしています。

  • 拡張可能：ペタバイトのオブジェクト型ストレージまで拡張可能なRiak S2で、ほぼ線形的にパフォーマンスが向上するよう量産型ハードウェアを使って、簡単に容量を追加できます。

  • 複数利用：Riak S2は、複数利用者展開用に請求や測定をサポートしている利用者ごとの利用データ・統計報告を提供しています。Riak CS Reporting APIを使えば、ネットワークI/O上で利用者ごとの利用データ・統計にアクセスできます。この報告機能は、経理・登録・払い戻し・請求システム付プラグイン、効率的な複数部門利用等を含む利用例に対応しています。

  • 簡単インストール：Riak S2の要件は三つのコンポーネンツだけで、容量増加もクラスタにノードを追加することで簡単に実現できます。

Setup Guide

  1. Create a virtual machine with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

  2. Enable SSH and set a static IP for the system.

  3. Follow Riak’s instructions to install Riak, Riak S2, and Stanchion using the .deb files. We used v2.1.0.

  4. Follow Riak CS Configuration for configuration.

  5. Edit /etc/riak/riak.conf with the following:

      buckets.default.allow_mult = true
  # For HTTPS
  ssl.certfile = (path to cert file)
  ssl.keyfile = (path to key file)
  ssl.cacertfile = (path to cacert file)
  # listener.http.internal = (machine ip):8098 # Comment this line out.
  listener.https.internal = (machine ip):8098 # Comment this line in.

  6. Edit /etc/riak/riak-cs.conf with the following:

      root_host = (hostname)
  # For HTTPS
  ssl.certfile = (path to cert file)
  ssl.keyfile = (path to key file)

  7. You can forward port 443 to port 8080 (which riak-cs uses for connections).

      sudo iptables –A PREROUTING –t nat –i eth0  -p tcp –-dport 443 –j REDIRECT –-to-port 8080
  sudo sh –c "iptables-save > /etc/iptables.rules"
  sudo apt-get install iptables-persistent

  8. Create a bucket using Cyberduck.
